A mesterséges intelligenciára épülő programok a holokauszt témájában hamis és félrevezető információk terjedéséhez járulhatnak hozzá az online térben, ami akár a holokauszttagadás fellendüléséhez is vezethet – áll az ENSZ Nevelésügyi, Tudományos és Kulturális Szervezete (UNESCO) által kedden közzétett jelentésben.
A jelenség hátterében egyrészt a programok hibái állhatnak, illetve az, hogy gyűlöletkelő, holokauszttagadó csoportok
szándékosan arra használhatják fel a rendszereket, hogy a nácik tetteit megkérdőjelező tartalmakat hozzanak létre.
Az UNESCO jelentése szerint az egyik legaggasztóbb az úgynevezett deepfake tartalmak létrehozása: a valódinak tűnő képek és videók ugyanis
azt a benyomást kelthetik, hogy a holokauszt meg sem történt, vagy az arról szóló beszámolók túloznak.
Mindez ahhoz vezethet, hogy az emberek nem fogják pontosan érteni a XX. század egyik kulcsfontosságú történelmi eseményét, az antiszemitizmus pedig felerősödhet
A mesterséges intelligencia használata mindeközben egyre nagyobb teret nyer az oktatásban, a kutatásban, illetve az ismeretterjesztő írásokban, ami növeli a valószínűségét annak, hogy megbízhatatlan adatok és virtuális “hallucinációk” befolyásolják majd az emberek nézeteit.
A szövegek, fotók, videók és hangok előállítására képes rendszerek
akár ki is találhatnak olyan eseményeket, amelyek meg sem történtek.

a nácik a második világháború idején tömegesen vízbe fojtottak volna zsidó embereket.
