Barclays Bank has led a £4m investment into wealth management infrastructure platform WealthOS.
The London-headquartered startup, which develops off-the-shelf software for companies providing digital wealth management products, said it plans to use the new funds to “support its strong client pipeline”.
It follows white label B2B wealth management provider Quai Digital selecting WealthOS as a strategic technology partner.
The seed funding round comprises £2m from Barclays and angel investors including Chris Adelsbach and Mike O’Brien, which closed in late 2023.
The remaining £2m came from Main Set, which is part of investment firm Capricorn Capital Partners UK.
“I am excited to demonstrate to the market how we will not only enable organisations to offer incredible, omni-channel wealth management products to clients, but to do so at high speed and with cost efficiency,” said WealthOS CEO and founder Anton Padmasiri.
WealthOS, which was founded in 2019, previously raised $800,000 in seed funding in 2021.
“WealthOS has an impressive proposition in the digital, wealth management space,” said Andrew Challis, co-head of principal investments at Barclays. “I look forward to seeing their future endeavours coming to fruition, celebrating new milestones, and seeing our return on investment.”
