Több magyarországi bank is elkezdte visszautalni ügyfeleinek az Apple által tévesen levont összegeket. A Gránit Bank sajtóközleményben, az Erste pedig Facebook-bejegyzés formájában jelentette be a kártalanítási folyamat megindulását, olvasóinktól pedig azt is megtudtuk, hogy az OTP és a Wise ügyfelei is kaptak már visszatérítést.
Amint a 24.hu korábban beszámolt róla, az Apple június 26-án rengeteg magyar felhasználótól vont le pénzt vásárlás nélkül. Az MNB információi szerint körülbelül 780 ezer jogosulatlan terhelés történt, amelyek során összesen több mint 2 milliárd forint tűnt el a magyarok számláiról.
Bár az Index cikke nyomán először sokan azt hitték, hogy az Apple Pay mobiltárca meghibásodása okozta a levonásokat, később kiderült, hogy valójában az App Store alkalmazásbolt volt a ludas, ami az Apple ID-val összekötött fizetőeszközöket terhelte meg újra hónapokkal korábbi vásárlásokkal. Ezt megerősíti az is, hogy egy lapunknak nyilatkozó érintett pontosan be tudta azonosítani, hogy az Apple ID-hoz kötött kártyáján két, február 13. és február 19. közötti tranzakciót zároltak újra.
Az incidens kapcsán az MNB június 27-én felszólította a hitelintézeteket, hogy haladéktalanul kezdjék meg az Apple által okozott technikai probléma miatt bekövetkezett jogosulatlan terhelésekhez kapcsolódó kártalanítást. Ez a folyamat a mai nappal el is indult.
