Orbán Viktor Magyarország miniszterelnökeként utazott Moszkvába és nem a NATO-t képviseli – közölte a NATO főtitkára Brüsszelben pénteken az MTI beszámolója alapján.
Jens Stoltenberg a NATO-tagországok vezetőinek a július 9. és 11. között Washingtonban tervezett találkozóját megelőzően tartott sajtótájékoztatóján kérdésre válaszolva közölte: Orbán Viktor tájékoztatta a szövetséget pénteki moszkvai látogatásáról.
Emlékeztetett: Magyarország számos olyan nyilatkozat elfogadását támogatta, amelyek elítélik Oroszország ukrajnai invázióját. Magyarország emellett minden NATO-kötelezettségének eleget tesz – húzta alá a NATO-főtitkár.
Mint megírtuk, közleményben határolódott el Orbán Viktor moszkvai útjától az Európai Unió leköszönő külügyi és biztonságpolitikai főképviselője, Josep Borrell. A tisztviselő azt írta, hogy a magyar kormányfő moszkvai látogatása kizárólag a Magyarország és Oroszország közötti kétoldalú kapcsolatok keretében zajlik, és habár december 31-ig Magyarország tölti be az unió soros elnökségét, Orbán nem kapott felhatalmazást az Európai Tanácstól az útra.
