Balderton Capital, which is UK’s one of the biggest and most active tech VCs has announced a new partner. The VC has announced that it has promoted Berlin-based Principal Colin Hanna as its first partner outside of London. Colin has already spearheaded several deals of Balderton in the past two years and is joined by investor Shikha Ahluwalia.

In line with Balderton’s ongoing commitment to the thriving European tech scene, Colin will head investments across Europe in purpose-driven, product-focused companies spanning verticals, including cloud, consumer, productivity, and fintech. Despite being based in Berlin, he will give the VC a more powerful reach in London.
Colin works closely and belongs to the board of companies like VanMoof, Finoa, and Rahko and has assisted with countless other companies, supporting the respective founders as they scale. Notably, Balderton has made a slew of investments across DACH including Contentful, Infarm, SOPHiA Genetics, McMakler, Demodesk, and vivenu.
