The top fintech companies hiring in the UK right now

If you’re planning to change jobs in 2022, then you have certainly come to the right place. Our job board is bursting with amazing opportunities this year, and we’re excited to share them with you. This week, we’re shining a spotlight on some of the brilliant fintech companies that are hiring in the UK over the coming months and the jobs that are currently open.

Be sure to check them out!

Freetrade

Freetrade’s mission is to get everyone investing. As the first challenger stockbroker to disrupt the £1.2tn UK retail investment market through its innovative app, technology is at the heart of what it does. It brings simple, low-cost investing to everyone, removing traditional barriers to entry and democratising the world of investing. It enables customers to buy and sell shares, ETFs, and investment trusts with no commission. Freetrade completed its Series B funding round last year, bringing its total fundraising to over £60m, and it’s only just getting started.

Freetrade recently launched new revenue streams such as its “Plus” freemium model, and self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs), on top of its existing individual savings account (ISA) offering. It’s scaling fast, growing from 250,000 users in 2020 to onboarding its one-millionth customer in October 2021.

Freetrade’s team is currently just over 200 people globally, and it’s proud to say each and every one of them embodies five core values: candour, curiosity, grit, focus and humility. The fintech is on track to double headcount year on year, as it drives international expansion in London, Brisbane, Stockholm, and Vancouver, and hire people who share its values!

If this sounds like somewhere you could call home, head over to Freetrade’s job page and check out all the brilliant career opportunities now.

Monzo

Monzo is building a new kind of bank, one that lives on a user’s smartphone and is built for the way we live today. By solving problems, treating people fairly and being totally transparent, Monzo believes it can make banking better. Monzo is a bank you’d be proud to use – and that means bringing together a talented team with diverse experiences, backgrounds and skills.

It believes there should be an alternative to the banking of the past: and it’s focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products, making financial life simpler, and giving users total control from their smartphone.

Internally, Monzo encourages an open, collaborative, inclusive working environment. It contributes to open source software, and continually engages with its wonderful community. The company is hiring talented, creative problem-solvers to help build the bank of the future.

Less than five minutes walk from Liverpool Street, Monzo has a team of just over 1,600 people. It takes care of everything from regulation, to app development, to card distribution, and more, so there really is a role for everyone.

Klarna is now one of Europe’s largest fintechs and is providing payment solutions for 90 million consumers across more than 250,000 merchants in 17 countries. Klarna offers direct payments, pay after delivery options and instalment plans in a one-click purchase experience that lets consumers pay when and how they prefer to.

The company is revolutionising shopping, payments, and banking. In the years since its launch, Klarna has become Europe’s highest valued private fintech (and 4th highest worldwide). And it’s growing turnover by 40% each year, providing fertile ground for its employees to be innovative.

Today, Klarna has over 5,000 employees and hires more than 3,000 people a year – and you could be one of them! Its offices are spread over three continents and are staffed by 100+ nationalities.

Klarna has a wide range of open roles in the UK, from finance to marketing, and beyond.

Revolut

Revolut is building a global financial super-app. Revolut launched in the UK in 2015, offering money transfers and exchange. Today, its customers around the world use dozens of Revolut’s innovative products to make more than 100 million transactions per month. Across its personal and business accounts, Revolut helps customers improve their financial health, give them more control, and connect people seamlessly across the world.

Revolut believes that any success comes from two things: people and culture. It believes that brilliant people operating in a great culture will produce the best outcome. The fintech company’s culture is its DNA and defines how it operates.

Revolut operates, hires, develops, and promotes people based on core values: dream team, never settle, think deeper, get it done and deliver WOW.

Revolut has offices across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and beyond, so there really is a home for everyone.
